Being as no body here I know can read your mind you will need to give us some more info, such as model #, and what makes you think there is something wrong...etc.

all i know is the model# 354HB and serial# 1013 I got the motor for free, i just got the thing to run this winter, the impeller doesn't work, i had to manually use a hose in the top of the motor I took of the four bolts on the bottom to release lower unit, there was like a drill hole that was real small near one of the four bolts, there is water coming out this hole when ii is running, is that supposed to be there , but furthermore the impeller, plate , impeller housing all look fine, when i use the hose water comes out the in let and trickles out the outlet, earmuffs don't seem to work, tks for your time. It is probably an exhaust hole and is normal. A worn and defective impeller can look fine. The fins get worn and do not push tight against the water pump as they should. When re installing make sure you use the impeller key place the impeller on impeller key then push down the water pump on the impeller while turning drive shaft slowly clockwise. When you reinstall make sure the water tube is going into the graomet up in the power head. If you remove the water tube from the lower unit and install it through the motor leg and insert it into the grommet it should hold there by itself. I would use a garbage can filled with water to test it. Should be a little water coming out the telltale however not a lot but it should get very warm after motor idles for a few minutes.
