Hey... I have a Model number 65 ESL 73R Evinrude, but the engine cover says it's a 70 hp. Any way, it seems to be only running on 2 cylinders at times. I was having a hard time starting this engine and replaced the plugs. The engine started right up, its still has problem starting...Its seems to be a intermitting problem. Not sure if its coils or the power pack. How do I go about testing. A few weeks ago it was running fine and had no problem stating.

Re: Not running on all cylinders

Give the motor a basic health check and post your findings.
Compression,
Spark,
Fuel Delivery,
Plug condition.

Everyone can evaluate from there.

Hey thanks for the information...I think this motor uses a electronic power pack and stater instead of points. thanks
