Not to fond of valentines day right now

I don't have that special someone.. the girl i liked got mad and isnt talkin to me right now.. don't know what i did.. but all my friends and cousins are all in relationships lol.. know where to go.. guess its gunna be another night in. maybe buy myself a truck part. .. . but for all of you not in my situation and who have someone i hope you all have a great valentines day !!

I love my "valentine", but frankly, whoever concocted this day can shove it!

Overpriced flowers. Nasty "candy" in a heart-shaped box. $3 greeting cards. Couples throwing elbows, to push through crowded resturants.

Can I come over and help you work on your truck?

MSCHER you can come over and help with my truck. 69 F250 4x4. My son and I started it last night. Its been awhile since we've started it. I turnerd the heat up and going back out there soon. 428PI with open headers is loud!

Zach lighten up. Soon enough you will have someone special and then at the last absolute second you will remember a special day or occasion!

mphy98 relates women to trout ...... I relate them to ravens or squirrels..... they are indeed attracted to "shiney things"!

As a future note "shiney things" are easy to buy and the impact lasts a long time!

A tip (Ladyfish do not read this ) If you give a lady something shiney and you wait ....... give it about a month or two...... when she is wearing it .... all you have to say is how nice it looks on her! You can't do that with candy or flowers!

Being lonely is a real bummer, Zach. Been there, done that.

There are really two sides of that coin, though. Being alone can be isolation or it can be solitude.

The bonding of hearts doesn't need constant proximity. The Love of My Life lives 200 miles away and was in CA visiting her 80 year old sister yesterday. She called last night when she got home.

Back to my point. For most of your life you will be short on solitude and at least part of it you will be smothered by the expectations of others with whom you have relationships. Good mental health is assured when they are in balance and you can enjoy both.

Now is a good time to learn to enjoy solitude while hormones are crying out for romance. You will in time need to enjoy a partnership while your soul cries for some solitude.

Valentines should be banished as a holiday. Too many people regard it as the 'day of love' and go out of their way to make someone feel special. In my mind, if someone is that special to you, any and everyday should be a day to make them feel special. A bunch of little things you do throughout the year will be worth more then one big blowout on one day in February. I feel the same way about Christmas and the gift giving thing too. Maybe I'm just cynical though.
