Nothing to report!!

Nothing to report!!

Well after working today I didn't get around to putting any time in on the boat. I didn't get caught up on paper work up until about 45 minutes after quit'n time so I decided I better go spend some time with the "Ol' Battle Ax." She did actually do some cooking tonight and the last few day's I've spent more time with the boat than her. Her sister was there with a new born, I held it and got peed on. Shoulda worked on the boat. :) Tomorrow I'll have the rug rat after she gets out of school early, guess I have a little "gofer" work'n. Hey kait go-fer a rivit, hey kait go-fer a drill, hey kait go-fer a pair of pliars...

Ohh, it's 11pm!! Time for Justified!! Talk at ya'll later.

Looking good Goose. I have a couple hours left stripping glue off the back deck and I am on to the transom replacement. Got over 350lbs. of wet insulation out of the boat this week. Also, took apart the back casting deck to get everything underneath out, thanks for that information, it really helped to speed-up my progress. Do you think I will have to reinforce the boat at all when I take the top cap off the back of the boat to start working on the transom?

Not sure, i know you'll need to reinforce the decking that was supported by the foam. Now as far as transom work, i have no idea, i haven't gotten into that and this this is my first build and am learning as I go.

Did a little more work yesterday. Put some of the factory supports in the stern deck back in and addes some extra rivits since the foam isn't there anymore. I reinforced the seams in the seating area that were bending and giving way. Re-inforced the Bow deck some more and that was about it.

Re-inforced with extra aluminum

Well, I didn't think I was going to get to work on the boat today, but a miscommunication between me and the other half scored me a free night. And like any good boater would do, I put it to good use, cutting metal, drilling, and riveting. I made a good bit of progress on the stern deck, getting about 90 percent of the metal cut to form. Now just about all that's left is fine tuning the fitment of the second sheet and cutting the hole out for the storage hatches. Also included below are some pictures of must have tools for working on well anything!!

This is why I wanted to go with aluminum and ditch the wood. I'm surprised i hadn't fallen through already.

And the must have tools for any job, Bud Light and Duct tape. Yes alcohol was used in the reconstruction of this boat but did not influence!!

Hey goose. The deck is looking like it is coming along nicely. Did you reinforce the old openings for the access doors in the front of the boat? That's what it looks like in your last photo. How was the wood under your pedestal seating area (front and back)? Mine was like the rest of my boat, in need of repair. Wish ya the best of luck with getting everything put back together on the boat.
