I've never considered myself an idiot at the ramp but I've certainly picked up a few things here to make my time on a ramp quicker and more enjoyable.
Last night I finally seen what everyone complains about. I pull into the lot to unstrap, unhook and prepare the boat to launch. Just as I hop into the truck to bring her to the water a truck pulls in front of me. Blocks the ramp then gets out to unstrap and etc. Then once the boat is in the water, they unload the truck STILL ON THE RAMP, ok all the poles are in now lets get in the boat and make sure everything is where we want it. Finally guy 1 gets in the truck to move it. Guy 2 obediently sits in the boat and hugs the dock for all he's worth so it won't float away.
He looks up at me and says go ahead put and put your boat in, you should have room. I was getting out when guy 1 yells across the lot, dude move the boat to the other side of the dock!!.
I am normally very patient out there only because I'm there to have fun and don't want to start my fun by getting mad at someone. This to me was very funny actually mostly because all I could think of was all the stories I've read here, and knowing I've finally seen it in action.

You can never be too sure these days.

I always go to the ramp early to avoid the jet skies and power boaters.

People on this forum probably are not a problem.

But after you get ran into (by a speedboat) while sailing than you'd change your tune as well.

Same thing happened to me last weekend, I handled it just like you. I figure if I get all pissed off then it only affects me not him, just let it be like water on a ducks back.
