I have a 1997 johnson 115 hp spiecal model # xj115hxeua been having trouble with when the moter is warmed up and ran over 4000 rpm it looses power and if I do not nurse the throttle it will stall. I replace the primer bulb , the quick disconnect fitting ,spark plugs, wires and the fuel pump HELP I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO NEXT THE MECHANIC WILL NOT GET TO IT FOR ANOTHER WEEK<br /> when he was here last he(mechanic) checked the compression and spark and all was fine runs good on the hose if i cannt find the problem the mechanic will take a boat ride with me

i will usally run it out of gas but it did sit for about six weeks before it started to act up think it time for a carb rebuild know what you going thru wish them stroms would just go away

I was just saying how much I agree with you about the storms when lightning took out the power temporairily. Wow!<br /><br />Anyway, I think youre on the right track with a carb bath & kit time. Good place to start.

i live next to a school so my power comes back on farly quick mt bro that live 3 blocks from me has to wait weeks he is the last grid to be turned back on. <br />i guess i will order a couple carb kits then
