i have a 1957 14 aluminum starcraft skichamp with what seems to be a heavy mahogany interior. i put an 87 nissan ns40c on it that currently has a 10.5 x 13 aluminum prop. the boat almost seems to run at mediocer speed with just me in it but it is still boggy and really bogs or slows with each person i put in her. my mechanic and i have checked the motor out and all seems well. we suspect the prop. no rpm gauge. we tried hes little electronic rpm deal but it didnt work. he says the rpms are way low. its a 15 inch transom with a bobs jackplate 4" set back. 25" motor. i will be trying to increase rpm tomorrow by raising the motor an inch. what manufactures props will fit and does it seem like a 10.5x9 is too low of a pitch...... thanks runnin low on the whole finishing the boat resto and trying to do this right the first time. thanks
