NS40D2 Cooling Issues

Hey Everyone,

I'm getting ready to take my 40hp motor and boat to Africa and just need some help before I send it over. While testing it in the driveway, there wasn't any water coming out of the cooling port. I know the impeller has been replaced in the past year or so, so I wouldn't reckon that is the issue. What about blockage? Where would I start to look?

Any help would be great! I don't want to have issues while running down the Zambezi!

You would first determine if the pee tube is just clogged up with debris...If it is clear than you drop the lower unit and check the water pump. A lot of rank amateurs only replace the impeller instead of putting in a complete kit.
