Re: Nube Help

The first boat is a no-go. He lives in Phoenix but the boat is in Minnesota, can't find a title, and he want to do a money transfer into his bank. The second one has another potential buyer that is looking at it tonight. So I have my fingers crossed that he doesn't get it.

On a technical note, can you add tilt/trim to a motor that does not have it? That was on option that I was looking for. It will be for a 1987 60hp Merc.

Don't know what year SS you are looking for but here's one on FleaBay if you haven't already seen it.

Re: Nube Help

The 2nd one that I wanted sold last night :(

I am going to look at a closed bow 16' either tonight or in the morning. What model was closed bow? I want to have enough room to bring friends with but not be so big I can't launch it by myself.

I will keep looking but I was hoping to get out at least once before the Minnesota winter hits.

Probably a Jupiter or Holiday although there were others. I had 5 adults in my Jupiter once. It was easy to launch and retrieve and I could pretty easily man-handle it onto the trailer myself.

Most likely it would be 4 adults and 2 kids under 5 at the most.

Be very cautious about any Bank transfer of funds till you have the boat and paper work or receipt IN HAND. thats how some wind up with no boat and minus funds. The chances of a scam are there every day. Do your home work.

The guy is a joke, it has scam written all over it. The boat is probably not even his. If I can take the title from you in person there is no way I am going to transfer one cent.

Hm...If you have no luck finding an Starcraft SS ..I've seen one thats been in
North Saint Paul For at least a few years...The owners were having a garage sale today...there was no "for sale" sign on the boat...I asked about the boat and she said "make me an offer"...I told her I already have a 1971 Starcraft that I have restored..I was just cureous...Did not ask what shape it was in...but from a quick glance...hull painted white, 70hp Johnson...I've
seen the boat for the last 2 years and it has been stored outside uncovered..
so probably needs a new interior...maybe you can get it cheap?!:D
