With wanted/for sale forums? I am starting to fill up a small building with older outboards and was wondering about websites with these forums. All the car forums I am a member of have these. I'm into big Chryslers, Newports of the 68 variety, anyway I have sold and bought missing parts for myself and friends and now I seem to have gotten the Outboard bug. I hate to see this older stuff go to scrap if I can I would sell trade parts to anybody who needs them. I don't like ebay. TIA

it is in the works, waiting on our overworked computer geek. that being said, if you see someone needing something you have, you are more than welcome to sent them a private message, say you have it. all communication about any transaction are to be thru PM's, not the open forum. don't say in the post i have what you need.

Many online classifieds, such as here on iboats.

www.AOMCI.org is another spot for the older stuff.

Don't overlook craigslist. A lot of people who don't visit forums look there.

Ditto Craigslist. I check their "boats" listings every day to find all kinds of stuff. It's amazing what you can find if you're patient. A couple months ago I was lucky enough to find a full (custom made by Fisher) bow-to-stern winter cover for my Silverton, and I grabbed it for only $400- I priced a new one last fall and it was $1700. NICE.
Just yesterday I picked up some big fenders and lots of misc line CHEAP from Craigslist. The guy had sold his house and was moving on Friday, so he practically gave it to me so he wouldn't have to move it.
