Oak Tree Stains

I got a 17' Seaswirl back in July and it was real clean outside and in. The only place I have to park it is in my driveway below an Oak tree. The leaves and acorns have taken over and they leave stains when it rains. Just got a cover for it and was wondering if anyone had any ideas or have removed oak stains from the gelcoat or fiberglass or what ever it is inside of a boat. It has a nonslip floor. I tried washing liquid and a brush and that won't do it. The guy I got the boat from had it parked in the sun. I don't have a place in my yard that doesn't have trees over it. Use star brite deck cleaner. I had some pretty bad rust stains from a mop handle, also some blood stains and other stuff that I couldn't get off. The star brite, a couple applications took it off. Also ajax or a similar powder lceanser with bleach in it works very well. Get a scrub brush with a broom handle and get ready to work your arms.

I had the same problem in Florida. Tried a product I found at a boat show called T. L. Sea.<br />Its made by Poli-Glow Products, Inc.<br />See WWW. Poliglow.com. If you don"t have a store in your area that carries it, they will ship from ther factory.<br />Wet the surface, sprinkle some on, let it sit awhile, brush if needed, hose off.<br />I removed all of the Tanin stains from my non-skid deck surface with this product.<br />Good luck!!

You will need 2 things totalling to $2. Some bleach and a sponge.Put bleach on the sponge and dab the stains and they will dissappear almost instantly.Rinse well with water when done.I have the same problem except I have about 20 trees.Charlie

If standard laundry bleach won't get it try muriatic (hydrochloric) acid available at hardware stores (pool chemicals section). In a pinch, most toilet bowl cleaners have hydrochoric acid in them and work well, the ones that don't probably have bleach so you're covered either way.

Bleach WILL work.If you buy some cheap crappy bleach at the .99 cent store you will have to leave it soak for a few minutes and even that will eventually work.As I said...been there ..done that !!

Thanks Guys<br />I'll try out that advice in a few days. When I got the boat it was real clean and its a shame to see all those stains in it.<br />I put my cover on today after cleaning out the leaves. Maybe that will keep the leaves and acorns out. <br />Thanks again
