Are their boards any good? I am wanting to get a board and bindings for under 200 and I found an 08 closeout for this price that was originally 329.

all depends on the model, they make several quality boards but they also make a few mainstream boards designed to be much cheaper. shoot us the model name and we can let u know!

Sorry to tell you, but that would fall in the main stream Obrien gear, it's the cheaper side of things. Those bindings would get you started but would hold you back in your progress very quickly. Look around online for closeouts and you will find pro grade gear at a discount price.

Okay, if anyone knows of or finds any deals let me know, mu budget is 200. I need a 136-142 with a universal size binding that would fit a 7-12ish size

no disrespect to Iboats, but check evogear.com and buywake.com in the outlet sections, always good deals to be had! And like 3mile said, universal bindings will eventually hold back your progression, if you intend to share the board, get yourself a good set of boots and get whoever else is going to chare the board with you to get their own bindings, takes 30 seconds to switch!

Obrein is mid pack. Its not the Hydroslide crap you find at walmart, but its not on par with Hyperlite, liquid Force, Ronix... and others.

You really do get what you pay for, and $200 or under pretty much gurantees you will be back here this time next year looking for another deal. You can buy good stuff once, or crap multiple times. In the end you will come out ahead if you buy the good stuff once.

I have an Hyperlite Apex 142 with Hyperlite era bindings on it that fit sizes 8-11 I believe. I put it together for right around $250 bucks by making some deals.

GO to a local boat dealr that has a wake shop or look on ebay... I bought the board and bindings seperate, and made offers on both...and they took them. Usually last year or 2 year old stuff sitting in proshops are CHEAP! Plus you can get the really good stuff. Last summer I picked up an 08 Shaun Murray board for $200... thats an almost $600 board new.
