Posted this problem before. On any smooth or moderate day, my 2000 5.0 efi runs perfect. 245 sea ray. Bucking 3 to 4 footers with high winds at about 3200 rpms, it will stutter and drop down. Never dies, and runs smooth at a lesser rpm. Turn this boat around, never a problem in following seas, same day, same seas. Pulled the fuel separator, maybe a teaspoon of water at most. Still thinkin it's a water thing. Any ideas? Thanks

Re: ocassional stumble

Could the fuel level be low enough that the sloshing around causes the pick-up tube to not be in the fuel? Just a thought.
