I have a 92 Evinrude 150 Spitfire V6. My local dealer tells me that I need to run 89 octane threw it as my standard fuel. Can someone tell me if this is true or should I be using 87 octane? The engine runs great, the fact of the matter is we all try to save a few bucks when we can!! Also, dose anyone have any horror stories about using Penzoil fuel stabilizer? Ive been using it for a while now and it seems to work fine ...........I just dont want to be doing anything that I shouldnt be. I use my boat every weekend so my gas dosnt set very long....................Im more concerned about build up in the engine. Any help would be great!
