odd evinrude i/o

My friend was looking at a boat and asked me about it because he isn't very knowledgable in that regard. It's an old Evinrude 14' boat with a really weird engine. Apparently, it's a 88hp two-stroke inboard/outboard. I had never heard of such a thing? Did OMC make such an engine or is it something else?

yea that looks like it alright
he is a good car mechanic, but it seems it would probably be hard to find parts for. shame it looks like a nice boat

ok im gonna tell him to stay away. he boats off coles point on the potomac, and the river gets pretty big there. I've been looking for a center console or bay boat, but just thought i'd check about this one.

14 footer is probably too small for even the equivelent of "bay" usage... Think 19+ feet at least... Nice solid older Bay boat to recommend is a WellCraft Nova.... nice deep V hull. Good luck

You can also tell him to avoid any boat with the letters OMC on it anyplace....
