Read a post where you were talking about the blue ignitions. I have an 83 Merc 115 HP that I am having trouble with at full throttle. It bogs down in the hole a little but will eventually plane off. After I get it up I can back off the throttle a little and it will go fine but when I go full throttle it misses. What spark plug should I be using? I currently have Champion L76V. I ohmed the stator and got 6910 red to blue and 6750 from red/white to blue/white. Specs say 4500-6200. Is this far enough off to warrant a new stator? I posted a topic on my problems called Mercury Ignition and I know you are not supposed to make multiple post but you seem very knowledgeable about this stuff and always willing to help.
