Ode To A Beer

[OBJ]

I think that I shall never hear,<br /><br />A poem lovely as a beer.....<br /><br />The brew that Joe's Bar has on tap..<br /><br />With golden base and snowy cap.<br /><br />Poems are made by fools I fear....<br /><br />But only "Bud" can make a Beer.<br /><br />Dedicated to Bud Longnecks for which I have a strong affliction....(sorry)....affection for.

The old Falstaff long necks were a favorite of mine,wrapped with a thin piece of sweat tissue and a frosty neck that delivered small ice slivvers on the first few swigs.Yummy.

OH THE LONGNECK!!!! Icy sweat pouring from it's cold sweating brownish sides. Laying in an icy laden cooler beckoning....choose me....choose me. Feels so good and re-assuring against a sweat incrusted forehead. <br /><br />DANG!!!! I need a'nuther.

Yes, I was young, but it had the best taste!

Geeze had my first beer in over a year last night. Tasted almost as good as they did when I was drinking a six pack everynight. Well now I know why I quit drinking-- cost to much. $4.50 in the resturant when I was drinking I could get a case of beer (long necks) for less than that.

Hey, Hubby remembers Old Falstaff and another one called Golden Grain or something close to that. Do they still have these around? He thinks the bigger breweries caused them to shut down. Just curious.
