I have determined that I need to replace my regulator/rectifier on 89 Johnson 150gt. Quite a price difference in my choices. Any input would be appreciated. I've used aftermarket parts in automotive and appliances many times. Most were fine, but have had that bad experience as well.

OMC $295 local purchase.
CDI $216.49+$8.09 shipping.
Mallory $166.12+$8.09 shipping.
Sierra $187.27+$8.09 shipping.

agree. but if you cross the battery cables, they fry just as quickly as the cheap ones.
