Re: oem part number. 393138 ??
Hi Dave<br />Unfortunately with just the part# all I can reference is that this part# is in fact for a gearcase for an OMC motor. Which one would be anybodies guess. I would imagine it is for one of the mid to larger models due to the price, in excess of $2000. This is one of the troubles of shopping on Ebay. Or buying out odd lot parts inventories. You end up with all these parts but have no way to determine just what year and models they will fit, with out many hours of research. The way the system works is, first you need to identify the model needing parts. Then determine which parts are needed. Then look up the parts#s in the parts manual for that model. In your case you would need to know the part# of the gear case that should be on your motor. Then if someone is selling a gear case with the same part#, you should be good to go. It is true that some part#s are supperceded, so there may be more than one # that will work. It is also true that some parts look the same and will fit a picticular motor but have different part#s and will NOT work. The question, the way you ask it, could take days to research at least. Just a guess but I would probably need to manualy search 20 years worth of parts manuals or microfische. I am not tring to be a cry baby here. I am just tring to explain the process to make things easier for you and so you can buy the parts you need with the most confedence they will be correct.
