Going to be near Sleeping Bear Dunes next week. Probably will have a few non-boating days due to weather. I know all the hiking trails well, but have never gone 4 wheeling. Can anyone suggest a spot for a newbie? Thanx.

Little bit of a drive inland, but you could take 72 to the Grayling area. Lots of 2-tracks and tank trails in the woods around there. I've had fun 4-wheeling in the deep tank tread-grooved sandy trails. If you see a tank coming make sure to give 'em the right-of-way! :D

Bit of a drive, but Silver Lake area south of Ludington is popular.
If you go to Grayling take a fly rod, the Au Sable is nearby.
