OK, OK - I flipped coins, threw darts, played pin the prop on the boat, best out of 85. I voted. Hope there is no run-off poll and I have to do it all over again.

Re: Official Splash of the Year Poll

Hey! I'm still around. Man this is a hard vote to cast, so many nice SC's. Just a FYI to the represented owners, I can be bought!!:D...just kidding.

I think i'm going to take another year on mine, just so I don't have to compete against Jas's 2+ boats next year, and Azlo as well. Last winter I was pretty much MIA to my family, so i'm taking a much more relaxed approach to the boat now, which is "fun-er". Other projects keep popping up, but I think i'll make good progress this winter.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and have a spectacular new year!!

Starmada - Thanks for picking up the pieces of the SOTY and bringing it to the finish line!!!! It is cool - hopefully it can be kept going. I have just been extremely busy - I picked a bad decade to be an entreupreneur!!
NB is looking for my address so that probably means the award is coming my way - when the polls close I'll get the new winner pic added and send on.

Eternal glory!! You will walk taller, be a better drinker, catch larger fish and satisfy women at an alarming rate for a year.....;)

From the looks of it we have plenty of new restos entering the fray....:D

Thanks again guys....!!!

Sorry, the Holiday's got the best of me. I added pics to all but SC65, and I'll get that done by tomorrow.

HAHA Actually Clark I was sending you a letter sayin There was a ahem....accident and the plaque was destroyed. But I don't think you folks are that slow so yes, it's packed and ready for shipping.

Also I'm glad all this competition wasn't around when you folks were considering me for the plaque the first go around. Some of these boats are amazing. I just have to say that I voted for Clark because I felt like he set the bar a little higher as one of the first to pull off the total engine/outdrive swap and also because I can relate to how much work goes into restoring the larger Starcrafts (not takin anything away from anyone else). Plus I just think it's a danged good lookin boat!

I owe a couple of you folks some data plates. If you could pm me your info one more time I'm pretty sure I can make it happen.

My better half wondered why I was spending more time on "that boat site". I was checking out the great work, trying to cast my vote.

I keep reading cus my day will come. I know my foam is NOT poured in.

Beautiful work by all, great information and lots of strange humor, a good thing. Ya'll deserve a trophy, but There can be only one.

You made a nice save on the paint job with the bare aluminum/paint. I like your boat it looks pretty sweet, all the boats nominated look pretty nice. If mine looks as good as any of these boats I'll be happy as heck.

We have winners! Congrats to everyone for a job well done. We had a strong field and there are no losers, just winners. Like the "Highlander", there can be but one - Congratulations to TPG and his Nassau.

Way to got TPG!! What an awesome boat. Congratulations on winning 2011 Splash of the Year.

Congratulations to all others as well. You know what they say "It was an honor just to be nominated". Really though everyone had a great looking boat.

Great job TGP! That is a wicked little boat you got there. Enjoy.

The honor wasn't just being nominated, but actually pulling down a vote! This years boats were awesome and it looks like some new(old)
boats are already battling for next year. Till then...this should be fun.

I think the coolest thing, besides the boats that is, was everyone got at least one vote. What a field, and next year will be as good I'm sure. This is a testament to not only the builders, but the depth of knowledge and support here on this forum. Is this a cool place or what?:cool:
