Sounds like Canada's safety measures may be going south. Safe air tight rooms with oxygen, food, water, beds first aid and radios! Sounds like some company did a very good job of safety planning. <br /><br />They were over 1 km below groung, some tunnels were filled with gas and smoke; but, using maps and radios all 72 make it to safe rooms (2).<br /><br />Heart goes out to the coal miners and family's who lost loved ones.

Don't have to spend the money to make it safe in this country. Wonder why.
