A buddy of mine wanted to run som gas though his 10 hp Johnson (year unknown) so I clamped it on my 14' tinny which has recently had the 9.5 mid 80's Evinrude kindly removed (Thank you, thieves) from it's transom.

So, I clamp this motor on, get to the lake, and after a few pulls, it's runnin' great. After I get the trailer out of the water, I leave the boat dock and fire her up....Wow! 2 seconds later and my boat that I've owned for a little less than a year actually gets up ON PLANE! That mid-80's 'rude didn't do that! SWEET!

I then cruised around the small lake with the biggest grin on my mug that you could imagine!

After cathing a few small 'gills and one keeper crappie, I had my fishin' jones fixed.

I can't wait 'till Monday (payday) to see what a 15 hp early 90's Merc will do!

<:);):p<:)8)>od:)

P.S. Special thanks to the Dang Thief that got my "rude...Hope it dies on ya in the biggest lake ya can get it on!

Yeah, guys

It was an unbeliveable feeling when that boat got up and leveled out. Almost scared me!:$ For the last year, I had the bow of the boat in the air, just chugging along.

I've been really bummed the last few weeks over losing my old 'rude, and that little 2 hours on the water yesterday picked me back up and energized by batteries! After thinking about it, the dang thief did me a favor by stealing that motor, 'cause I never would have thought about replacing it with a bigger or better one. I probably just would have kept on chugging, never to realize that boat's potential. Is that irony?
