Hi
I have an OHLLSON & RICE 1 hp outboard.
Is this the only one left in existance.
This is not a "shelf queen" as it is pushing a 1964 Annapolis Discover 18..
Are there any more out there?

I've heard of O&R engines. That motor was used on several types of applications. They kind of remind me of a weed eater motor or something of that nature.

Yep, they were used on a bunch of applications, weed eaters, outboards, general industrial, generators, chainsaws, etc. I even know of one that was installed on a micro-bike.

I supose it was an interesting engine, but they never impressed me that much. Pretty finicky. But enjoy it.

I also have one and need to know what type of grease to use in the prop assembly. Also wouldn't mind having a copy of the parts assembly drawings. I can be reached at EDIT Thanks John

O&R were the leader for many years in model aircraft engines, some making as much as 5HP/ci and turning well up into the teens.

My racing kart engines copied port timing and intake techniques of an O&R glo-plug engine. They also burned fuel pretty close to Fox Hi-Nitro glo plug fuel.
