Oil alarm going off on my disconnected VRO

I've had my VRO disconnected, running pre-mix for about 9 trips now with no issues. Last night I took it out, and got a beep every 3 seconds or so. It would shut off for a few minutes, then come back on again.

I have the bolt in the line and everything, but I'm wondering of it might me coming loose.

Is that the first thing I should check, or is there something else that would make this alarm go off?

Thanks.

Follow the small wiring harness from that VRO pump back to its rubber plug wiring connector..... and unplug it.

Hmmmmm

When I bought the motor from the guy last year, he gave it to me with the oil tank and wires removed, and plugged the oil line to the motor. I had assumed he disconnected the VRO, but I guess he didn't. Strange that the alarm never went off before, but I'm going to check that out tonight.

You're the best man, I appreciate the help.
