On my `89 V-135 I am having problems with the alarm going off as soon as the engine starts (pulsing beep). I have checked the float in the upper oil tank and it is fine. No continuity to ground when float is up. I checked for voltage at the white wire going to the speed sensor at the pump, ok. I checked the sensor output voltage, the books says 5V +-1, then bellow 1V. I turned the engine over by hand and it had zero voltage, then it would jump to 9V. That is clearly above 6V. Is this my problem? I am thinking probably not? The book does not mention the output voltage is over spec, only under, or not changing. Mine is just high. I am wondering if the module cannot read that voltage and that is why it thinks the pump is not turning? Just for fun I did check the DVA on the switchbox output, and it was well within spec. I hate to throw parts at, but I would like the system to work as designed.
Thanks!
