oil change super sea horse

i am new to the boating community I have a 35hp johnson super sea horse i found the plug to drain the oil but having a difficulty finding the fill plug. also in reading through some of the forums i see WOT, does this stand for wide open throttle?:facepalm: please advise.

The drain plug is also the fill plug. There is a vent plug higher up on the leg. DO NOT REMOVE THE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREW. The Vent plug looks the same as the drain plug. You fill from the bottom until the fluid comes out the vent. Then insert the drain plug followed by the fill plug. You can buy a pump for this for just a couple bucks at most auto & dept stores that sell boating supplies.

Hi crownline. Here's a short vid on how to change the gear oil on a vintage OMC motor. Best of all it's the same procedure for all their motors from 3 hp - 33 hp and beyond. You'll want to use 80-90w outboard gear oil. You should be able to get it at any Wal-mart/boat store. The brand doesn't matter so much. I just use the store brand that's about $5 a qt. You'll probably also need a little pump, which they should sell near by.
