oil coming from exhaust hole motor not starting

i had my 15 hp johnson 1980 model started running fine pumping water 20 minutes later i tried to start it again and it would not start oil was coming from the exhaust hole and there was oil in the water coming from near the prop somewhere :(

motor is flooded, probably dirty carbs, or stuck float needle. perfectly normal for unburnt fuel to exit there, as that is where the exhaust is. check for spark, could be coil heated up and failed.

Check your spark as TD said, powerpacks are known to go as well.

The gas/oil running out is a symptom, not the problem. When you are cranking the motor and it doesn't start, the fuel that it would normally be burning runs out the bottom.

Too much fuel (flooded/leaking carburetor) will cause it to not start. So will a no-spark problem. A bit of troubleshooting is in order.

thanks for everyones help it started fine today so i am not sure of problem
