I noticed that this issue of oil comming out the exhaust is a common thing with these PWC. I just replaced the gas and oil filters on the tigar shark that was given to me. I ended up having to replace the oil line with gas lines. (the oil line was brittle and I could not get the new filter on the old tube - which was clear.)

I got some hose pinchers and am thinking of clamping the oil line shut while the thing is being stored to prevent this outpouring of oil when I start it. (I now have a patch of dead black grass)

I want to store the thing with its nose up so water runs off it.

And yes, I will make sure the clamps are removed befor starting ( I will clamp the gas line also, to ensure the clamps are removed.)

Update:

It would appear that clamping helped out. I had the thing siting with its nose up for a few days with the hoses clamped. ( The last time I did that, the engine became full of oil). This time there was no oil issue, and the engine started imediately.

For winter storage, I will disconnect the oil line and plug it with a gulf tee to prevent the oil from dripping into the engine.

I will also clamp the oil and gas lines while it is not in use. ( that way also, if the thing is stolen, they wont get far!).

So if you have this oil problem. try clamping the lines off (just do it to both the gas and the oil lines so if you forget to unclamp them, it wont run for long!). It beats an engine overhaul!

well it sounds like you have a bad oil pump I would not trust it at all you may want to change to pre mix and eliminate the thing totally,,pumps only last about 6 years and some not that long
