Oil dipstick hole of penta sx drive stripped

Any body have any experience with helicoils in this situation? Would it be an appropriate fix and would the bolt on the dipsick tighten down and be waterproof with the helicoil in?

Time for a new cap. The helicoil would be right under the oring and would probably leak.

I wondered about that too I took it to the dealer who assured me that the helicoil would be recessed a bit and there would still be room for the o-ring to seal.

How obvious is it when there is water in the oil? Right now when I check the oil it is virtually colorless on my finger.

When there is water in the oil it will be milky like a vanilla milk shake, it will be very obvious.

helicoil worked great the shop installed it for $20.00 and it works perfect no leaking at all.
