I checked iBoats. On the ones I recommended they were about $20 higher plus there would be shipping compared to WM and I doubt they would honer my Port Supply discount. But I did check here first because I like to support them as much as I can.

Hmm, I kinda missed that one I guess. Ahh no worries. The one I got is exactly the same it just holds 2 less quarts. Ive never seen west marine have lower prices than somewhere else though.

Pretty excited to give this thing a try.

ya cant return it? i don't believe your gonna be able to fit the 5 Qts of oil in a small block v8 in a 4 liter container (4 liters = 4.22675282 US quarts). and that's gonna suck having to empty it halfway through. no?

I understood when I ordered it that 5 quarts would not fit in a 4 quart container. Not too stressed about needing to empty it once it fills up. Weve got boats that are going on the lake this weekend so we'll be using it as soon as we get it. We'll be changing oil in 2 V-8's and a V-6 so it'll get tested good.

I have used the Moeller for several years and have not been disappointed.

Does the Moeller have provisions to attach it to the garden hose fitting on the top of the dipstick?

I've got one of these el cheapo 12v ones that has worked just fine for the past 13 years. Of course, I only use it once or twice a year. It is all I need.

Yup, it sure does. Both the Moeller in the link I posted and the West Marine Moeller that someone posted has the garden hose fitting. Thats one main reason I went with the Moeller unit, its the only one I could find that said it came with that.
