Oil Filter on new 9.9 Johnson 4 stroke?

I am preparing to do a 10 hour service on my 9.9 Johnson 4 stroke. The owners manual mentions an oil filter, but I sure don't see one on the motor anywhere, does it not have one?<br />Thanks<br />Steve

Check on the side of the crankcase for a three bolt cover plate.The filter is under that cover.I think it's on the starboard side.
