Oil filter

A friend of mine just bought a 1994 I think it is an avenger. 4.3 LX/V6. Him and I both looked and can not find an oil filter. Where the heck is the filter?? The other problem he has is he ran it for the first time yesterday. Ran it an hour or so and checked the oil and everything looked OK. Checked it about 30 min later and there was water in the oil. It doesn't seem to be a lot, but it is milky. What is our next step to isolate the problem? Thanks.

It's either low on the aft port side of the block or a remote filter somewhere. Without knowing if it's a Merc, Volvo, or OMC, who knows.

Sorry Don. It is a merc. I'm new to this so didn't realize therre were other 4.3 other than Merc. We will look there.

Head up to the Adults Only sticky at the top of this forum. I think you will be blown away by the information there of things you may be new at.
