oil filter

now that I've read a couple of posts pertaining to oil filters.......i was wondering if there was a long style filter that would fit my application...i have 1985 omc 3.8L v6's (chevy)...i currently use short style and would like to use a longer style filter.....i am not even positive that im using the correct filter to start with, as i just use what was on the boat when i purchased it....thanks for any help

I was just in Walmart today looking at the book for those inferior orange ones... and yes, there were two listed for the 1980-84 Camaro 3.8 and one was longer by about 2 inches... I'd give you the number, but i didn't buy it, I just looked...

Do what I did and add a remote filter. Saves the knuckles and allows a bigger filter (Usually a PH-8 style).<br /><br />
