oil/gas in my exhaust

my 2000 yamaha 150hp is spitting oil/gas out of the exhaust, esp at start. the motor runs great and the problem seems to go away (although not completely) as the engine warms. I'm about to have the boat winterized - any suggestions?

Which model 150 is it? They made several completly different ones that model year.

A defective fuel pump or carb problem may cause this problem.
