Oil/gas ration? 100-1 or 50-1

Hi yall got a boat that has a 1985 evinrude 25 hp on it Mod no- E25ELCOC and it has a little sticker by the gas hook up that says 100-1 My question is will it hurt it to run 50-1 like my other motors?? or should i stay with the 100-1 ??? it runs good now but i didnt ask what ratio they were using, thanks ....

Hi PoorMan, Johnson changed the ratio from 100:1 back to 50:1 around 1988 or 1989 so, I'm assuming it's the same for Evinrude (ps that's a great motor you got there).
