Hey all, just got a boat with twin 175 ZUke 4/s ran fine for cpl hours yesterday. Ran fine most of today without issue. Then both oil inidcator lights lit, slow flash, no beeps, engines di not shut down to low idle. Seems like it must be an electrical glitch for both to light on different tachs at the same time. I find it hard to believe that both engines oil pumps went bad simultaneously. I've seen all the service records and teehy were routinley serviced.

Please. It's the Holiday and all the shops are closed.

I don't have time to check right now but I believe that is the oil change reminder system. If it were indeed an oil pressure problem the buzzer would also be sounding and rpm would be reduced. By the way, low oil pressure does not mean you have a bad oil pump. It could, but generally that's not the cause of low oil pressure. Lack of oil or worn rod/main bearings is the primary cause.

at 20 hours the ECU will set a beep then a flashing lamp on the monitor. to reset is very simple but the procedure escapes me, something about key on engine off, pull the stop lanyard then cycle the button 3 times in 10 seconds or so then reinsert the lanyard.
the tach will also give engine hours at its self check when key on poewr is first supplied.
its all in your operators manual that you read :).

Thanks all. Didn't expect it to be so simple as "change oil" since the engines were just serviced. But, I pull ed the lanyard, turned the keys to on and pulled the kill 3x and presto, no blinking lites and a great day of fishing with the folks and kids. 200lbs of scup and 48 lbs of sea bass.

Happy holidays all.
