I have a 5.0 merc i/o alpha, 2005, closed cooling engine efi. with 61 hours on it. s/n ow320169 ow199153. OK im new at this so i might label things wrong but im learning. I lowered the out drive from trailer possition and then about a half cup of green oil came out the water intake holes. So ive concluded that theres a bad seal and Im going to disasemble the low section first and see where I get. My question is. . .is there any good, complete with photos service manuel for the drive on the internet either manufactors or by others? I have carfully look at the adults only maunels on this site but theres nothing on the drive for 2005 alpha. (unless I mist it) I know Merc has one and Ill pay the price but I need it to be a good complete understandable with photos. I did find a site called "sterndrives" with no photos which make it hard to be sure what there saying. I know its complcated but Im paient, have lots of tools, time and ive tackled more difficult that this. Anybody have a recomindation for a manual ? thanks don
