Oil leaking from prop assembly

Hi all. I'm working on my dad's 15hp 2-stroke Johnson, and I noticed upon starting it up this spring that milky oil is coming from the prop assembly. We took it apart and replaced the two seals, but it's still happening. There's some milkiness to the oil in the lower gear assembly when I drained it as well. Two different marinas say it's just exhaust oil and is normal, but in the 20 years we've had this motor, I've never seen this, so I'm questioning their advice. Has anyone else had this happen? Is it possible that it's from the hose pressure from the muffs?

Thanks in advance.Resized_20230512_123558.jpeg

Milky oil coming out the Exhaust is often normal. However Milky Oil in the gearcase is not. Water getting into the Case, can force Oil-Water out, Did you get the either of the Marinas to do a pressure/vacuum test on the case?
Have yo put some on a Gloved Finger and smelled it? If it is just Gas-Oil, it will smell like gas, but if there is any trace of it stinking to high heaven, then it is likely Gear Oil

No guessing needed.-----Pressure test the gearcase.-----I am on the side of the marina, normal.----Model # of the motor ?

I agree, it is exhaust.. More to the point, it is the oil that you put in the gas, which has gone thru the engine and done it's job, and out the exhaust where it has emulsified with the spent cooling water. Yes, running on muffs is also a factor. If you had it in the lake, the stuff would have washed away.

BTW, buy those guys at the marina a cup of coffee. Lots of places would have sold you some unneeded repair.
