Oil or lower unit flood coming out of Exhaust 4.3 alpha one Gen 2-Pics

I have some oil or lower unit fluid coming out of exhaust. Checked old threads and I couldn't really pinpoint what it was. My boat mechanic retired and now I am going to have to take it to a new place. Trying to get an idea of cost and what to look for in the diagnosis. Thanks to all!

Pull the lower drain plug and see if you see any water or milk. Pull your dip stick on the engine and see if there is anything showing low, high or milk.
