i just bought a 17 ft bass boat and I am trying to get things right before I go up to the big lake.( Erie( 40 hp 2 stroke merc. Really I got 2 questions
1. The motor seems to run real nice but when I run the rpm's up the boat wants to lean to the right. Is this what that thing on the bottom of the motor is for, to correct the line of travel?
2. Its oil injected, it has a oil reservoir for me to put oil in and somehow it puts a certain amount into the fuel. This scarel hell out of me thinking Ill get no notice when this quits working and trashes my motor. iTS A 1994 40 2 STROKE MERC. 4 CYLINDER. What would most of you guys do, leave it hooked up or unhook and put oil in my gas myself. I know this is probable personal preference but will I cause any issues if I unhook and start mixing oil myself.

Thanks in advance

You probably get a lot of take off posts I have an 85 150 xr2 with oil injection with no issues at all plus its more convenient at least for me.... the lean mine leans too but cause of my fat ass....
