Oil resevoir not filling up??Help?

I have a 03-04 yamaha 200 Sx Saltwater series, and the auto fill to the oil resevoir is not working. After 20 minutes of run time, the low oil alarm goes off, and I have manually fill the resevoir. I thought it may be the trim indicator which has a safety feature, but replaced that and it still does not work.

I don't know if there is separate pumps or a circuit thing?

after 1995 none of the v6 yamaha motors used trim as a part of oiling, only 2.6L v6 from 1990 to 1995 did that.
when you manually fill it, is it with the manual switch or are you removing the engine tank switch and filling the engine oil pump with debris?

It is the manual switch that I use to fill it back up.
