Oil resevoir not filling up??Help?

03/04' Yamaha 200 sx salwater series. after about 20 minutes of running, the low oil alarm goes off, and I have to manually fill resevoir with the button on rear of engine. Any suggestions out there?

I had a similar problem on my 1985 150 etxks. The switch on the motor ( manual/emergency ) fill switch was the problem. On mine if you use that switch, you have to bleed the oil system, as air gets into the line. I had a hell of a time with it. The so called mechanic on two occasions utilized that switch, and when I got out to the middle of the bay, the alarm would sound, and the rev
limeter would kick in, and I would have to put back in. I purchased a Seloc manual, and thats what I found out.

Well it sounds like your oil pump is working, so I would suspect that you have a problem with your float. I would out of principle replace the oil filter inline with the oil pump on your remote (in the boat) oil tank.
