Me again, I have oil dripping out of the air ports on the intake. Leaves a oil slick behind boat. Can the oil pump, pump too much. Thinking there may be a diaphram inside the pump that's has a hole in. Is there an adjustment screw. Still waiting on manual.

Sounds like the oil sending unit in the tank mounted on the motor. It really can dump some oil.

there is no adjustment on the pump. the problem is the controller is not getting the signal to shut off.My advice, forget the oil injection and mix the gas yourself at 50:1 ratio.go to this link and it will tell you how the yam oil system works and how to trouble shoot it.<br /> http://www.bassandwalleyeboats.com/output.cfm?id=942859

also there is no diaphram on the pump.you might make sure that there are no oil lines that have come loose or broken, but I bet that there isnt.I would also be willing to bet that if the controller isnt telling the main tank pump to shut off and it is overfilling the motor tank, which then overflows into the carbs that could be causing some of your rough running problems that you have been having.Look at the bright side though, when it comes to oil in a two stroke,it is better to have to much than not enough. You could be saying "is it normal for the rod to be sticking out of the side of the block?"

My 115 ETXJ had a problem with the one way valves in the fuel lines. When I tilted up the motor the oil would flow out of he oil tank on the motor into the carb. What a mess. Anyway the valves are easy to replace look in the oil lines from the pump to the carbs.

The module is a fairly high failure item also.

hey thanks for all the help. Cpg that link was very informative it gets into the details of the basic system and how to test the components. My oil is over my top fill line on motor tank and I may have the sending unit cap out of alignment if it has a tube in the bottom.

if you remove the sender/filter assy drain the tank first. otherwise all the crap the filter kept out will fall into the pump. also make sure you retrieve the old seal for the filter assy and replace it with a new one on reassembly.
