Re: OIL

One pint per six gallons, vector. That is a 48:1 mix that we all call 50:1.

Good luck. :)

Re: OIL

You can get a mixing bottle at wal-mart for about $2.00 it has a scale on it from 16:1-100:1 it makes it easy as 123. Like JB said most of us mix at 1 pint to 6 gallons 50:1 in anything made after 1975 some of the older ones with brass bushings use a 24:1 or a 16:1 mix. Tim

Re: OIL

If you have a bigger tank it's 1 quart for 12 gallons. Any of the Mercs made after 1950 can run on 50/1 - they were full roller bearings, no bushings.

-W

Re: OIL

I would be sure and measure the oil in that 150. I have one also a 1975 model. It would be a shame to lose from not enough oil. I sometimes even mix at 40:1 just to be safe. More is better when it comes to oil in a outboard. Tim
