Hey
So this may come across as a stupid question but I'm just wondering what the best motor oil to run in my boat would be. I have been running the volvo fully synthetic SAE 30 and I am quite happy to run this oil and pay the price for it, but if I don't need to run it then I won't. My motor is a 1998 5.7 Volvo Penta GLi (fuel injected). I was just wondering if I can run a standard marine oil or if it needs to be synthetic.
Thanks
Nate

Re: Oil

If you don't want to use what the manufacturer suggests, then here are a few links to other oil threads to help assist you in choosing your oil.

They all come down to the same thing, people posting something like
"I use ___(Fill in the blank)___ and it works great"
