Re: Oil

Nice looking boat, CH. Piston rings and cylinder walls would not have anything to do with oil pressure. I am not sure on the exact path of oil from the pump but one of the critical areas for pressure is the clearance between the crank and the main and rod bearings and probably the lifter bores, cam and cam bearings as well Maybe you can google the path of oil for a 350 chevy. It would show you the wear points that could affect pressure.

Re: Oil

Thanks Boomyal, I will defiantly do this. I'm not giving up hope on this vessel :) I know it carries at OMC sterndrive getting more and more obsolete but GM350 is easy to find parts and worse case I go expensive route and fill transom and start over :) LOL yea right expensive and very time consuming.

I do love the design of this boat. One thing for sure though that bait tank originally did not come factory. Actually looking at the brochures it is suppose to have a galley there with sink and small stove. I wish I could find the original setup I would put it back in but maybe I could rig one up still and fabricate something. I will post more photos, will be buffing out the hull and then it will look very nice.

Btw those photos were when I was looking at boat. Since then I have cleaned out the cabin and deck area really well along with vinyl cusions.
