On an OIS motor can you unplug the wiring harness and jump start at the starter to rule out forward wiring problems?? I've got no fire and I'm gonna start trouble shooting.

Its a 1992 Johnson 150 60degree

yes u can unplug means of control to rule out bad key switch and/or neutral safety switch and/or emergency stop switch

Still no fire. This motor was running when it was put in storage 3 years ago. It got dark on me before I could do anything else.

so u mean u unplugged the mans of control and no spark

next unplug the black/yellow wire and let us know
