First off, I was going to have mechanics with the proper tools remove the flywheel so I could re-install a new stator.. Now I think I need to hand it over to them because how would I replace the missing magnets in the flywheel?? I don't see J225TXEDE flywheels for sale anywhere... Aren't those magnets a permanent mount (how would they get replaced) and what should I ask the mechanic when he gives me the lowdown on the repair.. This one is just to far out of my league and some previous experience would be a blessing.. Thanks guys..

Memorial Day weekend, I took it out and it ran like a dream for two days 6 hours a day off and on!! It fired up on command, never pretended like it wanted to stall, and had me impressed after my complete electrical/wiring renovation I have been doing since January..

[PROBLEM]
Only at WOT it was making a ching ching ching sound... Like someone rattling change loosely in their pockets.. As soon as I backed down to cruise RPM of 4300 it stopped.. At 5400-5500, a very light ching ching was happening.. Any thoughts? Probably more stator metal and magnets finding new homes??

The magnets are cemented on, no big deal. The flywheel, the magnets, the new stator ,the flywheel replacement, the linc and sinc can be all done at essentially the same time (it will take a day for the cement to cure). No big bucks if the mechanic is not a gouger. Take it to the shop and don't worry about it.

The magnet kit which includes the epoxy, or the epoxy separately, can be purchased at any dealership, possibly this site. Just a matter of cleaning the surface of the flywheel as needed. Use short pieces of 3/8" OD fuel line to space the magnets... keep them from sliding together.
