Ya there are still hitchen post in the center where the local store is. I think weaverville still has some too.. It has been about 5yrs sence I have been down HWY 3... I was warned years ago to stay on the SE side of that county. That was good enough for me.. Now I had a buddy and his son go up there and he came back with boat and truck, but all his fishin stuff was gone and they also took the battery to the boat, they took the fish finder also.. I guess he just didn't believe me.. It took him a week to tell me about it.. He knew I was going to laugh.. I told him you may get lucky or not.. But don't go flashing your goodies around or you won't have them long..<br />But I still like the area..

Yea, with all the beautiful country in those parts, like lake shasta that area is very remote. I used to spend lots of weekends on shasta. If you ever go there on the Northwest corner just over the I5 bridge was a bar called the basshole. Stopped in cuz the name was cool, partied for two days. Was owned by a guy from LaCrosse Wisconsin, and the mom and pop hotel across the street made room for us as he was part of party central. Nutty place. Great people.

Once again I didn't ignore my date and he was right there while talking to the 70yr guy.. And if you think a 70yr has a chance with me, YEK.. You have to be 5'8" and under 50yrs to play on this ride..
